Small Group Ministries

We believe in providing a safe, hospitable place in which we can learn together to lessen the fear and sorrow in each other’s lives and celebrate the joys. We do this through worshipping together but also through small group ministries.

Youth Group: The Youth Group meets each Sunday after the education hour under the leadership of our youth director, for lunch, study, discussion, games and fun. They also schedule outings and trips together for fun and mission.

Book Club: Book Club meets monthly at 5:45 at Golden West in Boulder.  Contact the church office for dates.

Friday Night at the Movies: This event takes place in people’s homes every third Friday of the month from autumn to spring. A variety of movies are watched, from documentaries to Hollywood films to Independent films. This is followed by discussion.

Tuesday Bible Study: Every first and third Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:30 for study and discussion of the Bible, prayer and conversation.

Choir: We have a choir of about 25 members that meets one hour before worship each Sunday and one evening each month during autumn to spring.  They sing a wide variety of music.

Women’s Group: New Women meet every third Saturday at 9:30, either in the church building or at members’ homes.

Men’s Group: The Men’s Group meets every third Saturday at 9:30 at a local restaurant.

Education Hour: We currently have three groups that meet each Sunday from 11:45 to 12:30 from autumn to spring: elementary age children, youth and the adults. Themes change seasonally.

Committees and Task Forces: We have a flexible structure  made up of a few permanent committees, some seasonal groups, and some task forces.  We try to adapt these to fit the current ministry needs, to coordinate, plan and imagine our ministries together.

Elders: Our Elders are individuals selected by the congregation to be the spiritual and pastoral leaders of the congregation. They provide care to the membership, assist the pastor in leading worship and give counsel and guidance to the congregation as a whole. They meet together monthly and retreat together annually.

Hospitality: Our individuals are selected by the congregation to help in the preparation of communion and to assist the Elders and Pastor in serving at the communion table each week.
